FTT WINTER 22 Results

FTT WINTER 22 was an amazing night, yielded new champions in all three divisions, and featured the long anticipated return of Rockin' Tony!

Our inaugural seasonal event brought in the largest attendance in the history of FLUID Table Tennis, and would not have been possible without the brilliant commentary of Terry Drassal, the visionary cinematography of Kevin Koenig, the impeccable venue provided by Table Tennis MN, the delicious refreshments courtesy of MPLS Cider Co, and the generous prizes provided by Paddle Palace.

In the night's opening contest Patrick L pulled off a stunning upset against Jeff G to capture the FLUID Table Tennis Division 3 Title. Patrick was 2-4 against Jeff going into their match, and the competitors were separated by nearly two points in rating at the time of their encounter.

In the evening's featured attraction Noah W vs Marie D lived up to the hype, and in the game of the night recaptured the magic of the previous Division 2 Final. They brought the crowd to its feet and delivered an absolute thriller with Noah eventually edging out the victory deep into extra points.

Finally, in the main event, Ken K faced the standard bearer of the charging new guard in Jay C for the League Championship. The longtime fixture of the Twin Cities table tennis community was able to fend off, drive back, and ultimately defeat the surging challenger with his devastating service game, big spikes, and brain melting mixups from his two contrasting rubbers.
